Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake Dip

IMG_7135.JPG

The Holidays are here! My favorite ways to celebrate definitely include spending time with family, and eating yummy food! Growing up, all of my favorite holiday treats were whipped up by mom, usually using ingredients that most of us keep stocked in our pantry. So when thinking of quick, easy, and delicious recipes to share with you all for the holidays, I couldn't think of anyone better to help me out than - you guessed it - my mom!

My mom is what some would call - a 'Dump Chef -' which pretty much means she doesn't measure anything. She will just add a little of this, and a dash of that, until the taste is just right. This method definitely made it a little bit difficult to come up with actual measurements for this recipe, but I think we nailed it! The two of us had such a fun time laughing and sharing stories while whipping up this recipe together. Ready to learn more about this easy to make, crowd-pleasing, mom-approved, sweet treat? List of Ingredients

  • 16 ounces Cream Cheese (or 2 bricks)

  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar

  • 20 ounce can Pumpkin Pie Mix

  • 1 tablespoon Pumpkin Pie Spice

  • 1 large tub Cool Whip (or 2 small tubs)

& A Few Tips...

  • Your cream cheese will be easier to work with at room temperature.

  • Make sure you are using Pumpkin Pie Mix - not Pumpkin Puree. I found this mix at Walmart.

  • You can use your mixer for most of this recipe, until it comes time to fold in your Cool Whip. If you use the mixer to mix in this ingredient, it will mess up the consistency of this dip. Be sure to fold it in slowly.

  • We recommend refrigerating your dip for a couple of hours before serving.

  • This dip is best served with vanilla wafers and graham crackers, but you can use other small treats for different flavors, like pretzel sticks or Ritz crackers.

Now Let's Throw Everything Together

  1. Cream your softened cream cheese with your mixer.

  2. Add in your Pumpkin Pie Mix and Brown Sugar, combine using mixer.

  3. Fold in your Cool Whip with a spatula.

  4. Sprinkle your Pumpkin Pie Spice on top, and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve. (Dip stays fresh in the refrigerator for 4-6 days.)
